A heart for the poor
Freedom Aiga is dedicated to improving the life of his sponsored child Salim...

Freedom Aiga is a long-time World Vision supporter and Child
Sponsor who lives in South Auckland with his family. His sponsor
child, six-year-old Salim, lives in a village called Kabuga in
Rwanda.
Freedom's absolute dedication to improving Salim's life is
inspiring. A few years ago he was made redundant - it came at the
worst possible time. He had four young children of his own to look
after and a mortgage to pay. However, he and his wife Penny drew on
their emergency savings to ensure they could continue to support
Salim.
Freedom says it was a struggle but they'd do it all again. He's
now working full-time as the operations manager for Qantas Courier
Services.
Freedom says he is passionate about Child Sponsorship for two
reasons. "First of all it's part of my Christian values to help
those in need and secondly, I believe in people. I believe if given
the chance, we can all make a valuable contribution to society. We
can make a difference".

television commercials!
