Our Work
Committed to long-term and sustainable change, World Vision
works to improve child wellbeing and serve communities in need in
the developing world, regardless of religion, race, gender or
ethnicity. Whether it's enabling people to support each other, or
linking supporters and donors to those in need through Child
Sponsorship, or creating networks to campaign for justice, we
believe that getting people connected is the best way to make a
difference. Poverty is a complex problem, and World Vision seeks to
address its root causes in a holistic way by focusing its efforts
on three main areas.
1. Transformational development
In partnership with local communities,
governments, and other agencies and non-governmental organisations
(NGOs), World Vision helps children and families live with dignity
and security. Described as 'Transformational Development', this
positive change is community based and sustainable, with special
emphasis on the wellbeing of children.

2. Disaster management and response
World Vision is
quick to respond to natural disasters and conflicts around the
globe. Our goals are to save lives, reduce human suffering, protect
livelihoods, strengthen community resilience, and promote peace and
reconciliation.
