The World Vision logo symbolises hope. The cross/star symbolises our belief that, above all, we are Christian. The logotype reflects our multicultural partnership, while the horizon symbolises hope and optimism. World Vision's visual identity has to work well over a wide range of applications and in a variety of different circumstances. To accomplish this, two variations of the logo have been developed, with a third option for exceptional use.

World Vision is happy to provide logos for individuals and groups to present in a variety of formats, including but not limited to, theses, review articles, books, websites, brochures, exhibits, videos, CD-ROMs, textbooks and other media. In the past, permission has been granted for both educational and for-profit usage. The decision is made on a case-by-case basis. World Vision retains implicit rights to distribute its logos to other users where appropriate.

If your application is approved, you may use the logo in any type of publication, print or online, for advertising or illustration, as many times as you wish, including but not limited to the following conditions:

  • You may not sublicense, sell, convey or transfer your rights to the logo
  • You may not sell the logo as a standalone file
  • You may not sell the logo in any way that would allow a third party to download, extract, or access the image as a standalone file
  • You may not post the logo online in a downloadable format
  • You may not use the images in any products for sale whose primary value lies in the image itself, such as posters, calendars, T-shirts
  • You must retain the copyright symbol or other legal notices that may be embedded in the electronic file containing the original logo
  • You may not incorporate the logo into a logo, trademark, or service mark
  • You may not use the logo in any unlawful way
  • Granting of permission for the use of World Vision's logo does not, directly or indirectly, imply or grant World Vision endorsement of product, company, service or person

The license contained in this agreement will terminate automatically without notice from World Vision if you fail to comply with any provision in this agreement. Upon termination, you must immediately:

  1. Stop using the logos
  2. Destroy the logos in your possession
  3. Delete any electronic logosfrom your computer premises and storage
  4. Intellectual property ownership

The logos are licensed, not sold, and remain the property of World Vision.
