Cambodia: World Vision’s Typhoon Ketsana preparedness plans

As Typhoon Ketsana approaches Cambodia it is predicted to hit the northern part of Cambodia including Kampong Thom, Preahvihear where World Vision has operations.
It is also expected to hit Mondulkiri, Ratanakkiri, Kratie and Stung Sen provinces where World Vision does not have projects.
In total, more than 11,000 sponsored children could be affected by the storm.
- 5 ADPs in Kampong funded by WV US, Hong Kong and New Zealand
- 4 ADPs in Preahvihear funded by Germany
Kampong thom is 8090 registered children and Preah Vihear 3,209 children in our sponsorship program==total is 11,297)?
WV Cambodia has issued a warning to its operation teams in the ADPs. Kampong and Preahvihear experienced flooding two weeks ago. They are preparing for the incoming storm and will active the National Disaster Preparedness Plan as needed.
