Out of Eden to star at Parachute 2003
| | | |
27 November 2003
Capturing the best elements of pop and soul, World Vision is
delighted to bring out three of the finest Afro/American sisters ever
to assault the music biz to perform at the Parachute Music Festival.
It’s a major coup given Out of Eden have had a string
of hits, sold over 1 million albums and are at home performing with megastars
like Destiny’s Child and the Pointer Sisters.
The trio - Lisa Kimmey, Andrea Kimmey Baca and Danielle Kimmey –
match their musical drive with a serious purpose.
While there’s no doubting these girls look as good as they sound,
they aggressively attack the standard that a woman's worth is proportionate
to her look and fashion sense.
In a nervous pop world where artists try everything from tighter clothes,
hair dye and garish tattoos to achieve notoriety – Out of Eden
are surging ahead on the strength of their musical talent.
Plus see top Kiwi talent: World Vision artist associates will
be out in force at Parachute. Look out for Parachute Band, Soda, Felt,
Form, The Lads, Brooke Fraser, Colliding Traits, Everyoneday, AUSTIN and
Elevator.
Parachute: 24-27 January 2003, Totara Springs
