More about this community

Samrong Tong is in Cambodia's Kampong Speu province. World Vision has reached 88 villages, with a total population of 45,000. Since 1997, there have been many significant achievements. Families now have enough food year-round. No children die from diarrhoea, dengue fever or other infectious diseases. Health support groups are providing training in midwifery and antenatal and postnatal care. Parents are also more aware about the value of education. Over the past two years, World Vision has successfully handed over management of the development programme to the Samrong Tong community.
