More about this community

The Banswara community development programme is in the Banswara district, 220km south of the Indian capital of New Delhi. World Vision has reached 30 villages with a total population of 33,800. With the help of Kiwi sponsors, children now enjoy good health and education. Women have been empowered to become community leaders. Community-based organisations have been established in all the villages, including a village development committee, self-help groups, a child protection unit, and clubs for farmers, women and youth. Members have been equipped to take full ownership of their development initiatives.
