The Mayurbhanj community development programme is  located in the foothills of Similipal National Park in the northern region of  Orissa state. World Vision has reached 60 villages, with a combined population of more than 30,422. Since 1995, Children's health in Mayurbhanj has improved considerably. Better education facilities have also been created, and women and other vulnerable groups are now empowered to make a contribution to their  community. These and many more changes have occurred, and the people of Mayurbhanj are now self-reliant, and capable of taking responsibility for their future.
