Parachute Festival-goers rock for Rwanda!

We had a great time at the festival this year with another 200
generous music lovers signing up to sponsor children in the
struggling community of Tubehoneza, Rwanda.
Parachute and World Vision would like to extend the opportunity
to other Kiwis to find sponsors for another 250 children in the
community to ensure urgent development work can be completed sooner
rather than later. These development programmes include equipping
the health centre, supporting teachers and providing books. Read
more about our work in Tubehoneza.
The Hands family from Mercer sponsored their fourth child Esau
from Malawi during the lead up to Parachute. Phil Hands had this
message for those considering sponsoring a child: "People think
they can't make a difference or put off helping others until
they're better financially off themselves. My message is don't
wait. Even if you help just one child you are making a
difference.
Over the past five years the Hamilton-based music event has
built up a relationship with the African community, with
festival-goers sponsoring 1,427 children in need.
Make a difference today by sponsoring
a child in Rwanda.
