In 2011 the men of Promise Keepers are being asked to respond to
Jesus' call to help the poor by reaching out to the people of the
Weather Coast in the Solomon Islands.
Key issues the people of the Weather Coast
face:
- Acute respiratory infections, diarrhoea and malaria are the
leading causes of death amongst children in the Pacific
- Only 40 per cent of Pacific Island peoples have access to safe
water

- Safe water systems and improved sanitation
- Training for healthcare workers to provide basic medical
care
