Coaching centres
Young people in two villages in Mayurbhanj ADP have taken it upon themselves to help their juniors, through setting up coaching classes.

A young man takes a coaching class.
|
Eighteen young men from Kisandahi village, some of them high school students and others college students, are running coaching classes.
Likewise, 15 people from Kainchapal village have started a coaching class for primary school children in their village.
A total of 48 children aged eight to fifteen attend the free classes, which help them with their regular school studies. Without the assistance of the young volunteers, the children could not afford extra tuition. As expected, the coaching classes are having a positive effect on pupils’ performance in examinations.
The coaches came up with the idea themselves and get no financial reward for their service. They are just happy knowing they are giving back to their community in appreciation of the educational opportunities they themselves have had.
