In their own words

Here’s what the people of Koro are saying about the activities World Vision has been supporting through Child Sponsorship:

After HIV and AIDS training, Abel, a teacher from Dangatene school, told his students: “I must confess to you that just last year I thought AIDS was a fake. But after I received training and following discussion with the training facilitators now I do believe it’s real. I urge all of you not to let anyone betray you on this issue.”

Luc, a literacy tutor from Torou village said: ‘‘I am really grateful to World Vision for all the training sessions I attended. In the past, a trainer held my hand to help me write on the board. Now I can not only write easily by myself but also I am teaching people in my community how to read and write.’’
