  • Provided nutrient supplements to 20 people living with AIDS
  • Provided school materials for 20 orphans and vulnerable children
  • Constructed three houses for orphans and vulnerable children

Education

  • Helped 10 school clubs to set up tree nurseries and provided training on environmental issues

Agriculture and food security

  • Trained 440 farmers in modern farming and harvesting techniques
  • Trained 142 people in better animal husbandry

Economic development

  • Through a community savings and credit scheme, gave loans to 26 community members for farming and small business activities

The people of Budekwa ADP still have a number of challenges ahead of them. During the next year, World Vision will focus on teaching better agricultural practices, livestock management and economic development projects, to improve the income of individual families. The ADP will also continue to teach financial management and leadership skills through community-based organisations.
