Some achievements of Dakama ADP in the past year:

The solar panel arrives at Sulu dispensary.
  • Organised a child advocacy workshop for teachers from 12 primary schools, ward education co-ordinators, the community’s advocacy sub-committee and child members of the ADP committee.
  • Observed the Day of the African Child in all eight villages. Four children from the ADP attended a zone-wide children’s conference.
  • Organised mock exams for primary school pupils with pass rates as follows: Standard IV (17 per cent) and VII (10 per cent). Mock exams help prepare the pupils for the official exams and highlight areas of study that need revision. The ADP provided prizes of sports balls and filing folders to the three top academic students in each of the standards.
  • Distributed 10,000 tree seedlings to schools, police stations, courts, churches and families.
