Caring for children’s needs

Some recent child-focused activities of Rakai-Kooki ADP:

World Vision focuses on children's needs.
  • Provided exercise books and geometry sets to sponsored children.
  • Paid school fees for 220 sponsored children attending secondary school. The ADP also gave financial assistance to two children in vocational training programmes.
  • Commenced construction of three classroom blocks at two primary schools.
  • Completed building and roofing a verandah at Kakoma Secondary School boys’ hostel. The school contributed bricks and World Vision paid for labour and other materials.
  • Held an educational programme for over 1000 young people, showing films about issues such as HIV/AIDS and teenage pregnancy.
  • Paid for medical treatment for sick or injured sponsored children.
