 95% of young people are in school or learning a trade.

You've helped more young people gain the skills they need to earn a living by continuing their education or learning a trade. 

You've helped set up savings groups that are helping many people start businesses or pay for essentials like school supplies. With stable incomes and strategies to weather natural disasters, parents can support their children and prepare for the future.

Your support has helped farmers learn new farming methods and ways to conserve natural resources.

Because of you, families have the tools they need to break free from poverty, for good.

 

 89% of children eat three balanced meals a day.

Nutrition in Tubehoneza

Thanks to you, children and families are eating well and staying healthy.

You've equipped families to grow vegetables and raise pigs, goats, rabbits and chickens, giving children a wider variety of food to eat.

You've trained parents and caregivers to cook nutritious meals with local foods to improve nutrition and dietary diversity, ensuring children grow up healthy and nourished.

Thanks to you, fewer young children are underweight now, and many malnourished children have recovered their health.




"My family was among the poorest in the community. Our parents couldn’t buy good clothes for us and struggled to pay our school fees. Now we’re living well and I can eat bananas when I want! We are so happy."

 100% of mums breastfeed their babies for the first 6 months.

Thanks to you, children and families are receiving the healthcare they need.

You've supported pregnant women and new mothers with better local health support and access to prenatal and postnatal healthcare. Now, they receive vaccinations and supplements like iron and folic acid, helping them and their babies to grow healthy and strong.

Because of you, new mums now know they must eat well to give their babies a good start in life, and 100% of mums are breastfeeding for the first six months.

You've equipped local health centres with medicine to treat patients, and families are supported by local health workers who check on their children's health.

 

 96% of families have safe toilets.

Water in Tubehoneza

Thanks to your support, families in Tubehoneza now have more sources of clean water and they're equipped with the skills to maintain them. 

Because of you, 96% of families have access to clean, safe drinking water within 15 minutes from their homes. This means children can attend school every day because they're not too sick and don't have to spend their days walking long distances to collect dirty water.

You've helped build safe toilets close to homes, at schools and health centres.

Thanks to you, families know that with good hygiene and sanitation, they can protect themselves from diseases that kill children.
