If I were Prime Minister...

Following the 40 Hour Famine more than 300 young Kiwis told World Vision what they would do to help their Syrian peers.

Their ideas were put into one report and on Thursday 22 March, Youth Ambassadors - Anna, Lisa, Ram, Shannon and Tessa - took this to Parliament to advocate for change. Watch the video.

MORE AID for mental health and education It is critical for the New Zealand Government to increase financial commitment to these children and invest in the realisation of their human rights. The two key areas they believe should be at the heart of our aid are education and child protection from all forms of violence.

RESETTLEMENT & INTEGRATION Significantly increase the number of resettlement places available for Syrian refugees in New Zealand.

DIPLOMATIC LEADERSHIP New Zealand should continue supporting all efforts to create an enduring political solution to the Syria conflict and hold all perpetrators of atrocities to account.
