Children who have left everything need your help now.

Children in Ukraine have had to leave their homes, with no end to the conflict in sight. Can you imagine running from the home you love, frightened for your life, surrounded by the stench of smoke and ear-splitting explosions? This is the reality for millions of children forced to flee within Ukraine and to neighbouring countries since the crisis began. And as fighting worsens, even more families are being forced to leave everything behind.

Refugee families urgently need food, shelter, protection against trafficking, support to recover from trauma and more. They need your help now.

“Our team are meeting refugees who have crossed the border with just the clothes on their back....I can’t imagine what it feels like to make that step over that border where you realise the life that you had is now over and uncertainty lies ahead of you. ”

- Daniel Wordsworth, CEO World Vision Australia

“We are genuinely concerned about the growing humanitarian and psychological needs of the children and families most affected by the crisis in Ukraine. There is a growing psychological impact on children and families. “

- Eleanor Monbiot OBE, World Vision’s Regional Leader for Middle East and Eastern Europe

You can help refugee children now

Right now, we're supporting refugees and host communities in Romania, Moldova and Georgia, as well as families displaced within Ukraine.

Because of caring people like you, we're providing food, shelter, heaters, clothing, emergency toilets, soap, nappies, toothbrushes and toothpaste, safe spaces for kids to play, protection against trafficking, trauma support, and more. We're rushing medical supplies to hospitals in Ukraine and Romania and responding to other urgent needs as they arise. But we can't do it without you.

We urgently need your help to provide more support like:
• Hot school lunches and school kits for teen refugees in Moldova
• Child-friendly spaces for kids transitioning through refugee centers
• Food kits and hot meals near border crossings

“The consequences for children affected by this conflict escalation are gravely concerning. Focus needs to be directed towards protecting those most vulnerable to the escalation of this crisis."

- Eleanor Monbiot OBE, World Vision’s Regional Leader for Middle East and Eastern Europe.
