No safe space to play outdoors
Roze* loves to play outside, but there is no safe space for children to play outdoors in Nauru.
She is one of the 119 children that we want resettled here in New Zealand.
All that Roze knows is Nauru. A place where her health, living conditions and wellbeing are not looked after. Her family have been detained in Nauru for 5 years, and they say that they do not wish on their worst enemies to see their own child growing up in island detention.
As citizens of the Pacific, we need to raise our voices about this tragedy that is happening right on our doorstep. We cannot sit back and allow innocent children like Roze to have her childhood robbed.
