Pauline started sponsoring children in Cambodia with World Vision after she saw the need firsthand and wanted to make a difference.
When she returned to Cambodia on a church trip, Pauline also visited her sponsored child and shared a special lunch with their family. Then Pauline’s host took her around her sponsored child’s community so she could see all the change her kindness was making possible for children and families there. “I saw all that was going on and it was so enlightening,” she says.
It was a time she’ll never forget. “I think it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life – to go and see my sponsored child,” says Pauline. “I start to cry even just thinking about it.”
It moved her to make another decision. One that can break the chains of poverty for future generations. Pauline decided to include a gift in her Will to World Vision, so her love can keep changing the world for children.
“You can always tell when you’re travelling through countries, where World Vision has been working. You can see the good things they do for people – the sanitation and all the health programmes. You can see places where they’ve put in toilets. That’s really why I'm leaving a gift in my Will.”
