How your love changed lives, even during crisis

How your love changed lives, even during crisis

Anewin with some of the kids in Yehi whose lives your love has touched.

Aga poyi! (Hello!)

It is with a heart full of joy and gratitude that I thank you on behalf of all the children, their families, and local leaders here.

Your generous support has brought significant progress and improved children’s lives.

When we started partnering here, children didn’t have safe drinking water, malnutrition rates were high, and many dropped out of school.

With your support, we focused on the community’s top priorities: water, nutrition and education.

In 2012, a national crisis disrupted much of our progress. Violence in the region forced families to flee their homes, schools closed, and livelihoods were lost.

Yet through your faithful support, we continued to serve.

You helped build and fix water towers and pumps, equip health centres and train health workers and parents how to better care for and protect children.

I wish you could meet all the children your love has touched. Let me tell you about Hadjara.

Hadjara, now 18, was displaced by the crisis. Your support helped her family and many others with emergency food and school supplies. Your kindness helped families to keep going and children to keep learning.

Now in Year 11, Hadjara dreams of becoming a firefighter to help protect others.

Thank you for bringing hope to children like Hadjara, and joy to this entire community, even in hard times.

Your kindness has made a lasting difference.

On behalf of everyone in Yehi, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you for being such a generous sponsor. You’ve made it possible to bring about significant changes in the lives of children here.

Thank you for the smiles on the faces of our children and community members, despite the difficult situation they face caught in conflict. That speaks volumes.

I hope you’ll go on to support another children and community in need. I wish you success and happiness.

Thank you again for your commitment to supporting the most vulnerable!
