Families in central Myanmar are still rebuilding after the devastating earthquake.
Give nowHomes, schools and hospitals and livelihoods were destroyed following a devastating earthquake in Myanmar in March 2025. Many children and families lost everything.
Families are working to rebuild their lives while facing damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and ongoing uncertainty. The need for food, clean water, shelter, and ongoing care remains urgent. Families also need support restoring their livelihoods so they can build more stable futures.
“Children and their families were already living in fragile conditions, but the earthquake greatly worsened their situation. Despite support from humanitarian agencies, families face soaring prices for food and other essentials due to the ongoing conflict and the lingering economic impacts of the March 2025 earthquake. As we mark one year since the earthquake, the path to recovery is far from over. Families still need sustained, predictable support to rebuild their futures,” says Dr. Edward Zan Response Director for World Vision Myanmar.
Our local teams remain alongside children and families, providing vital support where it is needed most. Your donation can help children and families recover and rebuild their lives.
The earthquake compounds an already dire humanitarian situation in Myanmar, which has been struggling with overlapping challenges, including political upheaval. 1 in 3 people already required humanitarian assistance, including families who had been uprooted from their homes.
Our local teams are there, but to be able to help, they desperately need more resources.
