We’re still buzzing! 40 hours. Thousands of legends. Countless lives changed.
The World Vision 40 Hour Challenge is DONE for another year. We want to say a massive thank you.
You absolutely crushed it!
From going 40 hours without your phones, gaming and even electricity, tens of thousands of changemakers across Aotearoa went all in.
You switched off and stepped up to help kids like Polyne in Solomon Islands with food for today, and a future for tomorrow.
Congrats also go to every single person who sponsored a fundraiser and helped them make a difference. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The funds you raised are going straight to work. Your mahi means communities in Solomon Islands can start growing vege gardens and planting mangroves so they can feed their children in a changing climate.
Matariki: A time to reflect and rise

“Everybody has an opportunity to make their mark on this world. And what better way than helping someone? The more we come together, the better we can be,” says Stan Walker, one of your awesome World Vision 40 Hour Challenge ambassadors.
This Matariki, we honour everyone who’s been part of the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge over the past 50 years. You’ve been there for tamariki facing the biggest global issues of our time.
And we also want to honour what’s been sparked for the future. Young people stepping into their power. Showing up for each other. Proving that change is possible.
We’re blown away by your leadership, strength and unity. We see you. We celebrate you. And we can’t wait to see what you do next.
This is just the start of your impact. You should feel so proud.
Whether you raised $100 or $1,000, it all counts.
From the bottom of our hearts, ngā mihi nui ki a koe – thank you so much 🧡
We can’t wait to bring you an update on all you helped achieved. We’ll share more soon from the Solomon Islands and your challenge weekend highlights reel on social media
