Youth Conference 2019

Join us for New Zealand's ultimate international leadership event. World Vision's Youth Conference empowers secondary school students to advocate for and lead social change in their local and global communities.

A jam-packed day designed to spark a passion for justice and equality in young Kiwis, equipping them with the leadership tools they need to go out and create the world they want to live in.

This interactive and inspiring conference mobilises young leaders across the country to be strong community advocates and gives them a platform to outwork these skills through the 40 Hour Famine in their schools and communities. It provides an amazing opportunity to connect with like-minded leaders from across the country.

"World Vision Youth Conference simultaneously gave an articulate reflection of our present world as well as a profound vision for the future. For me, I was not only fuelled with the confidence to change the world, but a worthy reason to do so."

The most fun you'll ever have at a conference!
This conference provides an amazing opportunity to connect with like-minded leaders from across the country. We have a full programme of thoughtful speakers, interactive actvities and leadership development.

This event will empower all students, the day includes:
  1.  Leadership development
  2.  Global inequality keynote speaker
  3.  Thought-provoking interactive sessions
  4.  Social action
  5.  Analysis and reflection

The social action component includes skills that can be transferred across any social activity your school currently participates in. We will be taking a close look at injustice broadly, with a specific focus on the refugee crisis.

“World Vision Youth Conference is a wonderful event that helps the students connect with other like-minded students who have the same goals and aspirations. Students come away from the WVYC with a determination to change their world, and with the skill-set and tools to make a difference."
