vulnerable children by tackling the root causes of poverty.

Clean Water

Clean Water

World Vision is the largest non-government provider of safe water in the developing world. We reach one person every 10 seconds with clean water - that’s over two million people a year!

Without clean water and basic sanitation, disease spreads quickly, children drop out of school and families struggle to grow crops and earn an income, impacting overall health, nutrition and development.

Education

Education

Education has the power to transform a child’s future. Yet 120 million children under 15 are out of school. World Vision is bringing lasting, quality education to children in the world’s poorest, most dangerous and hard-to-reach places.

We’re improving basic literacy, numeracy and providing essential life skills. We’re providing safe learning spaces for refugee children who wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to go to school. Together with your help we’re giving millions of children across the world a chance to write their own futures.

Nutritious Food

Nutritious Food

Hunger and food security is a critical part of World Vision’s ongoing work. A lack of food begins a rolling impact on child health, families and communities at every level. Without nourishment, the body has a reduced ability to fight disease. Increased sickness in communities directly affects economic development and productivity.

We work to provide nutrition to those most at risk and then focus on long-term agricultural improvements and economic development to increase food security. Our work is both immediate, emergency provision and strategic long-term partnership in communities.

Family Income

Family Income

Our world-class income-generating programmes lift millions of people out of poverty every year. With a strong and stable income, families not only have better nutrition, healthcare and a chance at education, but they can plan ahead and invest in their futures.

Through education, savings groups and micro-finance loans, we work in our communities to provide expanded income opportunities and economic futures.

Healthcare

Healthcare

Every day 16,000 children under five die, mostly from preventable causes. World Vision works with communities to improve their health and nutrition, and reduce child deaths. Every day, our health teams are saving lives in hard-to-reach communities around the world. We deliver proven, cost-effective interventions, focusing on the lives of women and children so they can live healthy and fulfilling lives.

Child Protection

Child Protection

In parts of the world facing poverty, hunger, social and political conflict and gender-based violence, children and particularly girls are at high risk of human trafficking, exploitation and social norms such as genital mutilation, underage marriage, violence and sexual abuse.

Advocacy

Advocacy

For World Vision, advocacy means giving voice to the world’s most vulnerable children: making their needs visible to those who can and should be meeting them, and urging those decision makers to take action.

World Vision advocates at the local, national, regional, and global levels to ensure better laws and policies, systemic and structural change and improved more effective service delivery. Through our advocacy work, we aim to achieve better futures for children.

You can be part of the long-term solution for climate-vulnerable communities.

Prisca (14), Malawi

Unseasonal and unpredictable weather events like cyclones, droughts and floods have devastated Prisca's community in Malawi repeatedly over the last few years.

For families like Prisca's who get nearly all their food from their farm, extreme weather events are their greatest fear. Without their crops, they have no food, resulting in food shortages, hunger and malnutrition.

You can be part of the long-term solution by providing these climate-vulnerable communities with the support they need to adapt to the changing climate and survive.

Your donation today can help families to better prepare for any disaster; by supporting them to be more resilient with a steady income.
