Amanda Roulston was in her first paid employment out of school when she sponsored her first child with World Vision. Nearly 25 years on, she still loves Child Sponsorship and has decided to leave a legacy gift in her Will to World Vision so the work she loves so much can continue to change lives.
"I couldn't walk away from it ever because there has always been massive evidence that every dollar that you've given has changed a life. When I travelled, and I had no income, and I was backpacking on $5 a day. I still had left money in New Zealand in a bank account for the three years that I'd be gone. It keeps you part of a global world, I think, and I like that."
"Here in New Zealand, we have so much. When I work it out, it's possible to achieve it all. It's possible to leave something to my loved ones, and I consider World Vision a loved one in that situation as well. Everyone wins."
