  • We will always respect your privacy. We recognise and appreciate that your Will is personal to you and will hold your intention in strictest confidence.
  • We understand that loved ones come first, and we encourage you to discuss your intention with them before finalising your Will. We also encourage you to seek independent legal advice.
  • We would love to hear if you've chosen to include World Vision New Zealand in your Will. However, we understand if you wish to remain anonymous.
  • It's your choice about how we contact and talk to you about your Will.
  • We understand that you may wish to direct your gift to a particular purpose, however, most people leave an unrestricted gift. This allows us to use your gift where it is most needed at the time and means that as our work evolves to better serve the poor, your gift can evolve with it.
  • We will handle your gift and wishes carefully with sensitivity and respect. We will use your gift wisely so that it has the greatest impact on future generations.
  • We recognise that it's your decision and needs to be made in your own time.

Amanda Roulston was in her first paid employment out of school when she sponsored her first child with World Vision. Nearly 25 years on, she still loves Child Sponsorship and has decided to leave a legacy gift in her Will to World Vision so the work she loves so much can continue to change lives.

"I couldn't walk away from it ever because there has always been massive evidence that every dollar that you've given has changed a life. When I travelled, and I had no income, and I was backpacking on $5 a day. I still had left money in New Zealand in a bank account for the three years that I'd be gone.
